Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone are married couple and are working as co anchors. They left San Diego for New York City and live with their son Walter Burgundy. One day a crucial decision is made by the boss to promote Veronica to the position of full time lead anchor and fire Ron for his bad performance, everything changes in their life. Later Ron returns to San Diego and searches for a new job. He gets a solution when he meets a man named Freddie Schapp, who works as an executive producer at the Global News Network, which is the world first 24 hr round the clock news channel. After being hired by him, Ron finds and reunites the news team of Champ, Brick and Brian and head back to New York City. In New York Ron and his team are given a new challenge. He comes with an innovative idea that transforms the channel. He takes the channel into high levels and puts him at the top of the game once again. But the question is, can he sustain his frame for long time? And will brick finally find true love?
