Great Inventor Flint Lockwood's is finally being recognized as he's invited by his idol Chester V to join The Live Corp Company, where the greatest inventors in the world create new technologies for the benefit of human. Barb, Chester’s greatest invention an orangutan with human brain is Chester’s assistant. Flint's is really passionate about creating new invention and he dream to be recognized as a great inventor in the world. But things changed with his new invention which turns water into foodis still functioning and creating food-animal hybrids - foodimals. Sam, Flint’s girlfriend attempts to convince Flint to spare the foodimals, but Flint wish to impress Chester and so he neglect Sam. Chester sends Flint and his friends on a dangerous mission in order to save the world.
