Young men Bruce Lee visits Ip Man and asks to become one of his student. Lee demonstrates his speed and showed him how fast he is. But Ip tells him to come back later. Ip Man’s son Ip Ching is seen fighting with another boy named Cheung Fung in school. Ip man came to the school and invite Cheung Fung to his home. At Ip’s house, Cheung displays his skills and Ip is impressed on his ability. Later Ip met Cheung Fung’s father Cheung Tin-chi. One day some brutal gangsters tried to attack school and Ip is compelled to safeguard the school from them, who all are trying to sell the school property for a crooked property developer Frank.
