The crew of mission to Mars is exploring the Acidalia Planitia. An unexpected dust storm topples their Mars Ascent Vehicle and they left the planet. During the evacuation NASA astronaut Mark Watney is struck and lost in the storm. His crewmates presume that Watney is dead. Mission commander Melissa Lewis gives order to the crew to go back without him. After the storm Watney awaken, with low oxygen warning and pain he makes his path to the Hab, the crew’s base of operations. He removes the antenna impaled on his suit and torso. He stitches the wound and the wound seems to be relatively minor, but he must try to survive and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive.
