The residents of a small town is plagued by savage outlaws led by a man called Bartholomew Bogue. They gather together at the church in order to handle Bogue. They burns the church and one of the citizens stands up to Bogue and Bogue kills him. The widow of the men they killed came to Sam Chisolm for help. When Chisolm hears Bogue's name, he agrees and made a group of six diverse men that includes wise-cracking gambler Josh Faraday for a mission to take on the outlaws.
